Our Teachers

Yoga Darshan's team of yogis, teachers and kirtanists bring many years of experience and a rich authenticity to your retreat or workshop.
Yoga Darshan Gangadhara
Sn. Gangadhara

Gangadhara started yoga from an early age, inspired by her parents and the Sivananda tradition. At 24, she moved to India to train at the Bihar School of Yoga under a traditional yoga master and was initiated into the Sannyasa tradition (Dashnami order of Saraswati). Ganga's life and teaching style is a reflection of her aspiration and dedication, and her teachings are noted for the ease in which she shares pratyahara, dharana and dhyana (meditation) practices. Gangadhara is known to deliver from a place of deep clarity and brings a big heart to all yogic endeavours. Although sharing regularly from the forest hermitage Aranyaka, Ganga does not  identify with being a teacher, rather she encourages all to awaken devotion to the Self, to study the illumined teachings of the sages and to follow the path of deep Self-reflection and Service.

Yoga Darshan Muktimurti
Swami Muktimurti

Swami Muktimurti is regarded around the globe as a master nada and mantra teacher with a deep commitment to spiritual life since a young age. She has pursued a deep interest in music for many years, incorporating her background in devotional singing (including kirtan, bhajan and stotram), mantra and classical North Indian music. Muktimurti specialises in teaching nada yoga in the community, encouraging others to develop their own deeper connection with the music of the spirit.

Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, learning and the arts, especially music. First appearing as the personification of the sacred river Saraswati, she is also identified with Vac, the goddess of speech.

Saraswati embodies everything associated with refinement and culture, highlighting her importance in the founding of an ancient and enlightened civilisation that has endured for thousands of years.
"I attended a yoga weekend recently with Yoga Darshan and found the teachers to be extremely knowledgeable and very clear with their teaching. They were kind and patient and taught with attention to detail. I gained some new and profound practices to take home." (Robert Snowball)
Yoga Darshan Shivananda
Swami Sivananda

Swami Sivananda was one of the greatest saints this world has ever seen, and is our Paramguru, a divine link in the ancient Saraswati lineage. Yoga Darshan regularly offers havans and dedications to Swami Sivananda in humility and with deep respect for the timeless teachings on vedanta and yoga that he brought to the world.

Swami Sivananda was a realised saint who shone a light on the divine potential within us. Although he is no longer in the physical world, his teachings continue to guide us to awaken the aspect of Sat (truth) and to live and breathe with every fibre of our being. The foundation of his teaching and mission was his mandate: serve, love, give, purify, meditate, realise.
Yoga Darshan Satyadharma
Swami Satyadharma

Swami Satyadharma was a master meditation teacher and an international authority on yoga. She authored numerous books on yoga sadhana and philosophy, and guided thousands in advanced meditation practices.

Yoga Darshan has been truly fortunate to have received her guidance, mentoring and boundless inspiration over the years.

Gangadhara worked extensively with Swami Satyadharma and is committed to continuing and carrying forward the eternal inspiration and light of yoga that Swami Satyadharma cultivated and lived with such dedication, clarity and depth of understanding.
